Billy Gilman Meets His Match

Seventeen-year old Christine Perkins has been selected to play the role opposite Billy Gilman in his upcoming video "Everything And More." Born in New London, CT, Christine attends East Lyme High School. She was Miss Connecticut Teen USA (2004). She is an aspiring actress who is 5'5", has dark brown eyes and dark brown hair.

More than 500 candidates submitted their photos and applications to be considered and after two full days of personal interviews - magic! "I want to thank each and every young lady who expressed interest in working with me to shoot the video," said Billy on Tuesday. "My manager, the video director, and I had an extremely difficult time in narrowing down the candidates to find just the right person. But, I think Christine is the right person. She is a professional in her own right. We just seemed to have an immediate connection; like we've been longtime friends."

Christine's role in the video is that of imagination, within a picture frame and finally, reality.

The video shoot is scheduled for this weekend in Westerly, Rhode Island.

Sixteen year-old singing sensation and multi-platinum artist Billy Gilman extended a special invitation last week via radio, press announcements, and right here on his official website to invite young ladies between the ages of 15 and 18 to participate in a casting call for his upcoming video. The young talent would play opposite Gilman in the upcoming video that corresponds to his new single "Everything And More" (released in February, 2005). Over 500 young women responded to the call-out to be considered for the part.

Based on telephone interviews, Billy, along with his management team and the video producer, narrowed the number of possible candidates down to 200. Then, interviews with all 200 hopefuls were conducted this past Friday and Saturday (March 25 and 26) at Sonalysts in Waterford, CT. The young ladies came from across the country. Some flew in from California and Virginia. Others came in from New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Billy participated in the interview process meeting each and every candidate talking with each and every girl personally. "Girls, girls, girls! This was definitely an adventure! I have never met so many nice girls all at the same time - it was an opportunity of a lifetime - more like a dream come true," says Billy of the experience. After two full days of interviews, the finalists were narrowed down to eight.

Monday, March 28, marked the day of the final decision. Billy picked that special girl - Christine Perkins - the young lady who will guest star in his newest video.
